CD / DVD Production
Once you have your master CD ready you will want to "get it out there". Record companies get thousands of demos across their desks every day. You need yours to stand out. We offer a wide range of CD production services ranging from simple duplication where we burn CDs inhouse right up to professional CD replication with ondisc printing and full colour brochures, much like a CD you'd buy in the shop. CD duplication can be used to produce a short run of CDs (anywhere from 10 - 500). This involves burning the audio onto CD-R format. To produce a CD like this with a case, label on disc and full colour insert you are looking at about $5.00 inc GST a CD. A standard run of CDs like this is 50 CDs which we do for $250.00 inc GST. This is a great way to get your demo noticed. Prices vary depending on amount of ink used, colours etc, contact us for a quote on your specific requirements. CD replication is used for runs of CDs of 500 or more. This is the method used for the CDs you buy in the shop. This involves producing a glass master CD and cutting the audio into the replicated CDs. This is the best method for releasing an EP or ablum. This method requires you to order a minimum of 500 CDs but the price per CD drops to around $2.00 inc GST each, depending on what sort of artwork you require. CD production is a very project specific thing, contact us for pricing and options for your particular project. We have a production team that can take care of all your production needs from doing the artwork to organising copyright for cover songs. As well as extensive CD production services we can also produce your music on the DVD medium. This gives a higher quality 24bit / 96khz sound as opposed to the 16bit / 44.1khz sound of a CD. DVD also has another advantage of being able to store multiple channels of audio with the most common format being 5.1 Dolby Digital AC3 Surround Sound. With DVD Production you can also incorporate a vision aspect to the sound. See our Music DVD section for details.
